About Mossiface
Mossiface is a small rural locality on the alluvial flats of the Tambo River in East Gippsland, roughly 20 kilometres east of Bairnsdale and near Bruthen. It gained prominence in the 1880s as the principal hop-growing area near Bruthen, and the heritage-listed Mossiface Hop Kilns from 1881 are one of only three surviving hop kiln complexes in Victoria.
