About Mardan
Mardan is a rural locality in the Strzelecki Ranges of South Gippsland, situated 7 kilometres south of Mirboo North. Farm selections were taken up from the 1880s and the district sustained dairy herds and grazing through the twentieth century. A Presbyterian church opened in 1890 and a community hall at Mardan South celebrated its centenary in 2012.
