About Devon North
Devon North is a rural village in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges in south Gippsland, about five kilometres north of Yarram. The undulating, mostly cleared pastoral land historically supported dairying, with creameries established in the 1890s. Named in 1855 from the Devon pastoral run, a spur railway from Yarram operated from 1923 to 1953.
