About Caringal

Caringal is a locality in the Baw Baw Shire of Victoria, in the Tyers River valley. Formerly known as Tyers Junction, it was the terminus of the Tyers Valley tramway, a narrow-gauge timber railway that operated from 1927 to 1949 linking logging operations on Mount Baw Baw to the Victorian rail network.
