About Wahring
Wahring is a small rural locality in northern Victoria, in the Shire of Strathbogie about 149 km north-east of Melbourne and 11 km from Nagambie. The area once supported a farming community centred on a railway station on the Tocumwal line, a store and several farm properties. A cottage that served as a focus for the community stood on Peppercorn Road until it was destroyed by fire around 1980.
