About Germantown (Vic.)
Germantown is an uninhabited high-country locality on the Ovens River near Bright in the Alpine Shire of Victoria. It is named after the German immigrant settlers who farmed the Ovens valley in the nineteenth century and is close to the ski fields of Mount Buffalo, Falls Creek and Mount Hotham.
