About Carboor
Carboor is a small rural locality in the Wangaratta Municipality of north-eastern Victoria, situated in the Ovens Valley approximately 30 kilometres south-east of Wangaratta. The area is characterised by cattle grazing, orchards and remnant mountain ash and eucalypt forest on the steep terrain of the Victorian Alps foothills. Carboor lies within a landscape of cleared grazing land, dense native bushland and the forested slopes of the Buffalo and Bogong High Plains, with the nearby town of Bright providing local services.
