About Buffalo River
Rural locality on the western side of the Mount Buffalo plateau in north-east Victoria, about 8 kilometres south of Myrtleford. The Buffalo River flows northward through the valley from alpine headwaters to the Ovens River near Myrtleford, and Lake Buffalo is a popular spot for fishing, camping and watersports. The area is known for grazing, viticulture and proximity to Mount Buffalo National Park.
