About Curlewis (Vic.)
Curlewis is a locality on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, in the City of Greater Geelong, with a shelly foreshore and views across Port Phillip Bay. First known as Point Henry, it was renamed after the pioneer Curlewis family, and the district's farming past is recalled by the heritage-listed Coriyule Homestead and the former Catholic church, now in nearby Leopold. Since 2010 the Curlewis urban growth area has brought significant residential development.
