About Woodstock On Loddon

Woodstock On Loddon is a rural locality in the Shire of Loddon in central Victoria, located about 23 kilometres west of Bendigo on Little Creek, a tributary of the Loddon River. The landscape features flat to gently undulating pastoral and agricultural land along the Loddon River valley, with the river providing fishing and birdwatching opportunities. A school opened in 1864, and by the 1860s the settlement had two hotels and multiple churches, though population has declined from a peak of 260 in 1911 to 36 in 2021. The area sits near Bendigo's goldfields heritage and the Loddon Valley tourism region.
