About Korong Vale

Korong Vale is a town in the Shire of Loddon in north-western Victoria, about 85 kilometres north-west of Bendigo. It grew into a major railway town as the junction of the Kulwin and Robinvale railway lines, with a locomotive depot and railway yard serving the surrounding farming district. Its post office opened in 1879, and the town was known as Korongvale before being renamed Korong Vale around 1945.
