About Elmore

Elmore is a historic rural town in north-central Victoria, situated on the western bank of the Campaspe River approximately 45 kilometres north-east of Bendigo within the City of Greater Bendigo. Settled in the 1840s as a pastoral settlement, the town is at the junction of the Northern and Midland Highways and is known for the annual Elmore Field Days, one of Australia's largest agricultural events. The heritage-listed Elmore Railway Station, constructed in 1870, houses the EPA Museum documenting local history.
