About Ashbourne (Vic.)
Ashbourne is a rural locality in the Shire of Macedon Ranges in central Victoria, on Falloons Road to the west of Woodend. It is set in forested foothills near the upper reaches of the Campaspe River, and from 1934 a weir on the river at Ashbourne supplied water to the Coliban system. The locality's post office opened in 1899, when the area was known as Campaspe.
