About Werneth
Werneth is a rural locality in the Golden Plains Shire of Victoria, roughly 44 kilometres south-west of Ballarat on the Pitfield-Cressy Road. The area is known for the heritage-listed Glenfine Homestead, an 1873 bluestone Victorian Gothic residence, and the site of the former Glenfine South gold mine which operated from the late 1890s. The surrounding country is used for farming and grazing across the rolling plains between Ballarat and Geelong.
