About Rowsley
Rowsley is a rural locality in the Shire of Moorabool of central Victoria, situated about 50 kilometres west of Melbourne and 6 kilometres south-west of Bacchus Marsh along Parwan Creek. Named after Rowsley in Derbyshire, England, the area retains historic landmarks including the heritage-listed Greystones Homestead from 1875 and the Rowsley Scarp, one of Victoria's best known geological faults. A railway line has served the locality since 1889.
