About Mount Franklin

Mount Franklin is an extinct scoria cone volcano and rural locality in the Hepburn Shire, about 10 kilometres north of Daylesford. The crater, formed roughly 470,000 years ago, is now a free camping ground and reserve within Wombat State Forest, with cultural significance to the Dja Dja Wurrung people.
