About Mollongghip
Mollongghip is a rural locality in the Central Highlands, 18 kilometres south-west of Daylesford and near Creswick, in the Shire of Hepburn. The undulating landscape supports mixed farming and spray-irrigated potato growing, and the village sits immediately west of the Wombat State Forest. Originally called Happy Valley before adopting its current name around 1885.
