About Homebush (Vic.)
Homebush is a former gold rush township in central Victoria, located 10 kilometres west of Avoca in the Pyrenees Shire. First settled in 1853 after gold discoveries, it reached a peak of 457 residents in 1881 before declining as mining ceased, and today is a quiet farming locality.
