About Beremboke
Beremboke is a small rural locality in the northern Brisbane Ranges in western Victoria, about 94 kilometres west of Melbourne in Moorabool Shire, south of Ballan. It sits beside Brisbane Ranges National Park, whose eucalypt forests and seasonal wildflowers are popular with walkers. The locality dates from the late 1800s: the Beremboke Post Office operated from 1877 to 1968, and the local state school, classified as a fifth-class school in 1891, remained open until 1977.
