About South Hobart
South Hobart is one of Hobart's oldest suburbs, situated immediately south of the CBD at the foot of kunanyi/Mount Wellington. Settled from 1806, the area features the World Heritage-listed Cascades Female Factory and Australia's oldest continuously operating brewery, Cascade Brewery. Steep streets lined with Georgian and Victorian-era homes offer panoramic views over the Derwent River.
