About Lauderdale
Lauderdale is a town on the outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, in the City of Clarence. It lies on a thin isthmus at the base of the South Arm Peninsula, between Ralphs Bay and the beach-lined shore of Frederick Henry Bay. The town is named after Lauderdale Park, a farm established there in the early 1800s by Scottish settlers, and is now a popular residential area for people working in Hobart.
