About Perponda
Perponda is a town and locality in South Australia, located approximately 111 kilometres east of Adelaide in the District Council of Karoonda East Murray. The town was on the Waikerie railway line until it closed in 1994, and the name is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning the plains.
