About Peake

Peake is a town and locality on the Mallee Highway about 150 kilometres east of Adelaide in the Coorong District Council area. Named after Premier Archibald Henry Peake, it is a historic Mallee settlement with landmarks including Polly's Well, sunk in 1877, the former stone general store from 1937, and early 20th-century school and post office buildings.
