About Naidia

Naidia is a sparsely settled rural locality in the Murray Mallee of South Australia, about 24 kilometres north-east of Swan Reach. Its post office opened in 1911, and the name is said to have been chosen by migrants from the state's West Coast as a corruption of Nadia Well, a water source in the Denial Bay district. Naidia School operated from 1920 until 1943, when its pupils were taken by bus to Swan Reach.
