About Comaum

Comaum is a rural locality in the South East region of South Australia, within the famous Coonawarra wine district. The name is a corruption of an Aboriginal word meaning sheep washing place, and the Hundred of Comaum was where John Riddoch planted the first Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon vines in 1890.
