About Wudinna
Wudinna is a small outback town on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, located approximately 570 kilometres north-west of Adelaide on the Eyre Highway. The name derives from the Barngarla word Woodina, meaning granite hill, and the area is known as granite country with notable formations including Mount Wudinna, one of Australia's largest granite monoliths. The iconic eight-metre Australian Farmer statue, carved from local pink granite, commemorates the region's agricultural heritage.
