East Moonta is a rural locality at the northern end of the Yorke Peninsula, a satellite village to the historic copper mining town of Moonta within the Copper Coast Council area. The region is known as Little Cornwall for its shared copper mining heritage, with nearby heritage sites including the Wheal Hughes mine.
