About Sturt (SA)
Sturt is a residential suburb of Adelaide in the City of Marion, South Australia, named after explorer Captain Charles Sturt. The first Sturt Post Office opened on 11 October 1849. Sturt is bordered by Oaklands Park, Mitchell Park, Seacombe Gardens, Seacombe Heights, Darlington and Bedford Park. The suburb is served by the State electorate of Gibson and the federal division of Boothby.
