About Magill

Magill is an established eastern suburb of Adelaide, about 7 km east of the CBD at the edge of the Mount Lofty Ranges foothills. Founded in 1838 by Scottish emigrants, it is home to the historic Penfolds Magill Estate, one of Australia's oldest wineries, established in 1844. The suburb also features St George's Anglican Church, consecrated in 1848 as the first Anglican church in South Australia, and the University of South Australia's Magill Campus.
