About Firle

Firle is an inner-eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters. Laid out in 1881 and named after Firle in Sussex, England, the area was originally market gardens and orchards before residential development. It is home to the heritage-listed Glynde House (1840) and Firle Shopping Centre, and has a significant post-war migrant history with a large Italian community.
