About Traveston
Traveston is a small rural town in the Gympie Region of south-east Queensland, situated on the Mary Valley railway line approximately 20 kilometres south of Gympie. The town is surrounded by dairy farms, cattle grazing and macadamia orchards on the rich volcanic soils of the Mary Valley. Traveston sits within a landscape of rolling green hills, remnant subtropical bushland and the meandering Mary Valley waterways, with the nearby town of Gympie providing services and amenities to the district.
