About Tansey
Tansey is a rural town in the Gympie Region, about 74 kilometres west-north-west of Gympie. Cattle grazing is the predominant land use, and part of Grongah National Park extends into the locality. The Burnett Highway passes through the south-west, and the town was renamed in 1916 after early settler Michael Tansey.
