About Kensington (Qld)
Kensington is a locality on the south-western outskirts of Bundaberg in Queensland, increasingly mixed commercial and residential in use. Sugarcane remains an important crop in the surrounding farming area. The locality contains Bundaberg Airport, opened in 1931, which served as a training base for the Royal Australian Air Force under the Empire Air Training Scheme during the Second World War.
