About Imbil
Imbil is a rural town and locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, Australia, located in the Mary River valley north of Brisbane. Established in 1868 during the gold rush, its name derives from a Kabi Aboriginal word for bamboo vine. It is home to the Mary Valley Rattler heritage railway and features heritage-listed bridges and buildings.
