About Gigoomgan

Gigoomgan is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, located approximately 35 kilometres south-south-west of Brooweena. The Burnett Range forms the southern boundary, and the locality includes Gigoomgan State Forest and parts of Grongah National Park. The name is thought to derive from a Kabi Kabi word meaning place of white cockatoos.
