About Boompa
Boompa is a remote pastoral locality in the Fraser Coast Region, approximately 67 kilometres west of Maryborough and 19 kilometres south-east of Biggenden. European settlement began in the 1870s with timber logging in hoop pine forests before transitioning to extensive cattle grazing on fertile basalt-derived soils.
