About Marodian

Marodian is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, about 60 kilometres north-west of Gympie. Almost the entire locality is occupied by the Marodian pastoral station, used for grazing on native vegetation, and the Brooweena-Woolooga Road runs through it. The name may derive from the Kabi language word maridhan, meaning place of kangaroos.
