About Cynthia
Cynthia is a rural town and locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, bounded to the east by the Burnett River and crossed by the Burnett Highway. The town was named in 1925 after the Cynthia Parish of the County of Yarrol, and grew beside the now-closed Monto branch railway; its state school operated from 1928 until 1954, but no settlement remains at the former town site today.
