About Biggenden

Biggenden is a rural town and locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, Australia, located 287 kilometres north-west of Brisbane on the Isis Highway. Established in 1889, its name derives from a Kabi Aboriginal word meaning stringybark. It was founded as a gold rush service centre and features the Biggenden Mine, Mount Walsh National Park, and Paradise Dam.
