About Greenvale (Qld)
Greenvale is a remote outback town in the Charters Towers Region of north Queensland, about 203 kilometres north-west of Charters Towers on the Gregory Highway. Built in the 1970s to service the Greenvale Nickel Mine, it is home to the Three Rivers Hotel made famous by Slim Dusty and sits on the banks of the Burdekin River.
