About Ropeley
Ropeley is a rural locality in the Lockyer Valley of South East Queensland, about 16 kilometres south of Gatton. The area sits within the Lockyer Valley, known as Australia's Salad Bowl for its intensive vegetable and cropping production, and supports family farms, market gardens and grazing land on gently undulating country. Ropeley State School opened in 1890 and the Immanuel Lutheran Church has served the community since 1923.
