About Peachester
Peachester is a rural town and locality in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, Australia, located 25 kilometres west of Caloundra. Named after peach trees growing at a river crossing, the area was originally timber-getting country before becoming a dairying region. It was home to Inigo Jones, a renowned long-range weather forecaster, and features a historic community hall (1889) and state school (1892) near the D'Aguliar Range.
