About Hunchy

Hunchy is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast hinterland of Queensland, situated in the foothills of the Blackall Range between Palmwoods and Montville. Originally known as Hunchback, the name was shortened to reflect its position at the base of the range. The community of small farms produces dairy cattle alongside pineapples, lychees, bananas, citrus and avocados, with the area characterised by cooler temperatures, lush subtropical vegetation and winding roads through elevated terrain.
