About Nicholson (Qld)

Nicholson is a vast coastal outback locality in the Shire of Burke, Queensland, on the border with the Northern Territory. The Nicholson River flows through the area and the Gulf of Carpentaria forms the northern boundary. National Highway 1 and the Savannah Way pass through the locality, which includes a portion of Boodjamulla National Park in its south-west.
