About Macfarlane
Macfarlane is a rural locality in the Blackall-Tambo Region of central western Queensland, 14.6 km west of Tambo. The Barcoo River flows through the locality, which lies within the Lake Eyre drainage basin. The Landsborough Highway also passes through Macfarlane. The area is characterised by open Mitchell grass downs and gidgee scrub country.
