About Gregory (Qld)

Gregory is an outback town and locality in the Shire of Burke, situated on the banks of the perennial Gregory River in far north-west Queensland. Formerly known as Gregory Downs until renamed in 2013, it lies about 120 kilometres south-south-west of Burketown and is surrounded by the historic Gregory Downs pastoral station established in 1876.
