About Lawn Hill

Lawn Hill is an outback locality in north-western Queensland, split between the Shire of Burke and the City of Mount Isa, on the border with the Northern Territory. A large part of the locality, from the west through to the south, lies within Boodjamulla National Park, which contains Lawn Hill Gorge, and the associated Lawn Hill resources reserves. The locality is named after the national park of the same name, which was formerly known as Lawn Hill National Park and in turn took its name from Lawn Hill Station.
