About Coongoola
Coongoola is a rural locality in the Shire of Paroo in south-western Queensland, 53 km north-east of Cunnamulla. The Mitchell Highway and the Warrego River pass through the locality. In September 1922, Coongoola was visited by international scientific teams for its ideal viewing of a total solar eclipse. The land is used for grazing on native vegetation.
