About Bakers Bend

Bakers Bend is a sparsely populated rural locality in the Shire of Murweh in outback Queensland, about 42 kilometres south of Charleville. The Warrego River meanders through the locality, which lies within the Murray-Darling basin and is crossed by the Mitchell Highway and the Western railway line. In the north of the locality are the abandoned towns of Westgate and Wallal, with Westgate still the terminus of the railway line.
