About Mount Archer (Somerset - Qld)
Mount Archer is a mountain and rural locality about 12 kilometres east-south-east of Kilcoy in the Somerset Region. Called Buruja meaning door in the Kabi language, the peak marks the northern extent of the D'Aguilar Range and the southern part of the locality is heavily vegetated within D'Aguilar National Park. Part of Somerset Dam lies in the north-west.
